1986 Porsche 911 Supersport.Incredibly rare with only 269 RHD coupes ever made, and with exceptionally low mileage, this must be one of the best on Earth.As perfect as I can physically make it. The body was recently restored at immense cost from exceptional to be in absolute concourse condition and the (original) interior is equally superb. In the 80's, this was as good as it got, and there is a reason this thing has a shape which is iconic, and it attracts huge amounts of attention - in a good way.Visually identical yet vastly rarer than the Porsche 930 Turbo, ticking option code M491 at the Porsche dealer in 1986 was a hugely expensive exercise - about a 25% premium over the standard car, however for your money you got the original rear "tea tray" wing, the Porsche 917 LeMans winning brakes, the lowered chassis and the 'wide-body'. In some countries it's also known as the Turbo-body or Supersport.Without the cost and reliability problems of the actual turbo itself, this is much better to drive around town, it handles like an absolute dream - and has incredible road presence. Originally delivered to a well known collector of Porsche 911s on the Isle of Man, it came to Australia in 2010 and has been cherished for its entire life.Insurance requirements mean that while I am happy to be a chauffeur, this is not available for self drive at any price. Apologies in advance.Technically it is a 4 seater, however that's only of use if the rear seat passengers are less than 4 feet tall.... If you're thinking this is the perfect wedding car - you are correct - however it's more comfortable for the bride if her dress isn't the full meringue, (and for me as the driver because I need to be able to reach the gearstick for every change). Cars used to be smaller on the inside than today's modern SUVs…..Based in Sydney, for the right reason (and allowing for travel time) I can also be convinced to drive to the Hunter Valley or Southern Highlands.More photos on Instagram @m491superport
